Trial, Error, and Agile

Seth Godin writes about the value of your organization learning through trial and error:
"People mistakenly believe that one way to successfully avoid error is to avoid trial."
Your organization will make mistakes not just in developing a product, but in defining its requirements and in marketing it. Product management and development should use agile methods that build the notion of trial and error right into the process.
