Performance Benchmarks

Kirk Pepperdine has some things to say about performance benchmarks. He notes that:

performance is a key part of usability
developers and testers often neglect performance requirements or treat them as an afterthought
functionally complete demos create a bad impression if they perform slowly

In a future entry, I'll argue that performance requirements are really subsumed by usability requirements.
